Prof. E. Aminudin Aziz is an Indonesian linguist, academic, and education leader with extensive experience in language policy, literacy, and international education. He holds a Master’s and Ph.D. in Linguistics from Monash University, Australia, and began his academic career as a professor of linguistics at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI). He has served in key national and international roles, including Head of the Agency for Language Development and Cultivation (Kemendikbud) and Education and Cultural Attaché of Indonesia in the United Kingdom.

Dr. Itje Chodidjah is a senior education expert and policy leader with over three decades of experience in teacher education, English language teaching, and educational development. She currently serves as the Chairperson of the Indonesian National Commission for UNESCO, where she is actively involved in promoting education reform, teacher professionalism, and international collaboration. Holding advanced degrees in English education, she has worked extensively in teacher training, curriculum development, and educational advocacy at national and international levels. Dr. Itje is widely recognized as a frequent speaker and contributor to seminars, workshops, and policy discussions on education quality and transformation in Indonesia.

Colm Peter Downes is a British ELT and professional communication consultant based in Jakarta, Indonesia, with over 20 years of experience in language education, ESP, and skills training across Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and the Caucasus. He specializes in English interventions for public officials, diplomats, and educators in high-stakes environments, including work with ministries on regional cooperation and donor projects. Key roles include Director of English, Education, and Society at British Council Indonesia (2019-2022), where he led teacher development, partnerships, and global climate action initiatives like a MOOC for over 10,000 participants; and Head of Government Relations for EnglishScore (2022-2024), aligning digital assessments with Indonesian education priorities.

Mohamad-Noor Salehhuddin Sharipudin is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Communication at Universiti Putra Malaysia, specializing in marketing communication, sponsorship, non-profit marketing, consumer behavior, and digital technologies like e-WOM and immersive tech. He holds a PhD in Marketing Communication from Victoria University of Wellington (2016), a Master's in Corporate Communication from Universiti Putra Malaysia (2007), a Bachelor's in the same field (2003), and additional diplomas.

Badriah serves as a School Supervisor (Pengawas Sekolah) at Cabang Dinas Pendidikan Wilayah VI, Jawa Barat, Indonesia, with expertise in lesson planning, school curriculum development, teacher training, supervision, and writing. Recognized as Model Teacher at SMP level (2005), 1st Place in National Teacher Scientific Forum (2013), and 1st Place National Outstanding Teacher (2015). Also won 1st Place National Innovation Competition (2020) with SDN Sirnabakti Kadupandak, SKKPN Cianjur.
Professional Learning Communities of School Supervisors as Sites of Literacy, Policy Discourse, and Collaborative Innovation

Abstract
To enhace professional literacy and collborative innovation in a multicultural educational setting, this paper reflects on the role of a professional learning community of senior high school, vocational school, and special need education supervisors in Education Branch Office VI, West Java, Indonesia. The learning community functions as a forum for fostering shared understanding of educational practice policies and supervisory practices the community where supervisors regularly exchange experiences, best practices, analyzes of newly issued regulations. Using reflective professional practice and collaborative documentation as an analytical lens, this paper examines how routine face-to-face meetings and incidental online discussions facilitate shared understanding of policy texts, alignment of professional language, and consistency in mentoring approaches across diverse school settings. Collaborative innovation is illustrated through the joint development of a digital application for principal performance appraisal, which supports reliable assessment, data literacy, and efficient documentation. The experience also shows how professional literacy, values, and supervisory discourse can be trasmitted through a structured induction program. The program that is provided for newly hired supervisors in twelve-month period using a mentor-mentee model. The modules for the program created in the learning community by the senior supervisors. Overall, this reflective accounts emphasizes how professional learning community can serve as effective sites for applied linguistics in practice, enabling supervisors to fair policy implementation in multicultural educational settings through shared literacy, dialogic engagement, and creativity.
